The GATO trophy was presented by Actress Susan Hampshire and the Duchess of Northumberland, to team coordinator Darran Hutchinson, Manager Chris Horn, staff worker Julie Rhodes and volunteer Kevin Williams to much applause. They were delighted at the recognition and hoped the award would help them reach further into their community.

The Duchess of Northumberland was very pleased that the winners were from the North East. It is also good to know that we also got the highest number of public votes as well as being acknowledged as the Winners by the Judging panel

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who had voted for the allotment and also to thank everyone who is connected with the allotment for everyone’s hard work and ongoing support, this award is a great honour as well as recognition of how the Allotment engages with the wider community.

Chris
